Black Hill (Italian) Mine, Drytown, Amador County

Location is about one mile northeast of Drytown. The mine begain producing gold in the early 1860's, after which it was idle until operations were resumed for a short period during 1890.


It was reactivated in 1932 and remained in operation until 1940. Since that time, no production has been recorded.

It recorded about $140,000+ thru 1940
