Knight Foundry Historic Water-Powered Iron Works is located at 81 Eureka Street in Sutter Creek, California, 95685. The mailing address is P.O.Box 1776. Phone 209 267-0201. The foundry is just two blocks off Main Street; Eureka Street is one half block north of the creek bridge.
Guided foundry tours are $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for students and seniors. Special group programs are available upon request. The foundry is open for tours 10 to 4, Saturday and Sunday, weekdays upon advance phone request. Iron pours will begin in the fall of 2000; dates will be available on the foundry answering machine.
Public parking is available at several locations within easy walking distance of the foundry, with handicapped parking at the foundry. The foundry can accommodate a large tour bus in its lot on Eureka, with access via Gopher Flat Road east off Main, right on Broad, left an Eureka and left into the lot at the historic monument. There is adequate turn around space from the lot. Bus parking is also available at two large lots, one on Gopher Flat Road, one at the south end of Main Street/Hwy 49.
