James Farley

 

 

 

 

Jacksonian James T. Farley had the distinction of being one of California's U.S. senators, 1879 to 1885. This Virginian arrived in Volcano in mid-1850's became assemblyman and speaker of the assembly and 20 years later, U.S. senator. He died in Jackson in 1886.
