Arthur Burbeck McLaughlin and Lizzie Van Vorst McLaughlin, established McLaughlin Ranch, now Daffodil Hill, in 1887.  Mary McLaughlin Lucot, was born in 1881.  Jesse McLaughlin, was born at the Daffodil Hill site in 1893. Click here to see the Daffodil Hill web site..

This barn was built by the D'Agostini family about 1938' It is located above and beyond the original home, on the left. It now is used for equipment storage

As you drive up the Shenandoah road you will see this barn across the road from the winery. It is still in use and was built around 1940, primarily for a goat herd, it remains in use for cattle and hay storage.
