Jane Kerr and James J. White

This is photo of my great great grandparents Jane Kerr and James J. White. They are first found in Amador county in 1867 per voter registration. My grandfather lost his arm supposedly in a hay press in Iowa. My grandmother ran a boarding house in Lower Rancheria near Amador City. She died young from Lockjaw, several different stories on how she got it. She is buried in the Drytown cemetery and possibly James is too but he died at our White Ranch outside Plymouth. Prior to losing arm, James was a painter but after had to take odd jobs, last being a teamster for the mines in the area, hauling supplies and lumber.
