Ione, California

The VFW Hall is on the site of the Old Ione Grammar School.

A plaque notes the area of Ione's Old Chinatown, located on Main Street, east of downtown.

Near City Hall, at the foot of Church, is "Iron Ivan", seventh and last steam engine used by Amador Central Railroad, now part of the county's major wood manufacturer located in Martell. This engine was manufactured in Jan. of 1901 and was brought to the Amador Central Railroad in 1937. The last trip was made by this engine between Ione and Martell in 1956.
